One of my favorite scrapbooking and craft lines is American Crafts – they create such beautiful products with gorgeous colors. I have always wanted to try out the Project Life line, so when I heard that American Crafts were making products to coordinate with the Project Life lines, I was so excited.
If you haven’t heard about Project Life, its a simple approach to scrapbooking that makes it easy to get those photos off the computer and into a book. It’s a mix of embellishments, journal cards, and photos. I was lucky enough to get my hands on some of the Honey Line, and you should see the colors! It’s a multi-color line with a lot of bright pink and aqua and a nice brown grey neutral.
Next week, I am going to show you the full Project Life page layout that I created with the product, but as I was working with it, I came up with this idea of creating a page that was interactive. That led me to this photo and memo board using project life cards for my daughter (My Sister’s Suitcase also created this fun To Do List Frame that I found – love the colors of this kit too!). You can create notes, write reminders, jot down cute sayings, pin on pictures, and when you’re tired of it, you can remove the glass, and change all of the cards up! (And with such a fabulous selection, you’ll be switching them up often!)
This was a very easy project to complete. Grab a frame – any frame will do. I used one of those long skinny collage frames, but any size or orientation frame will work. I covered the sides (which were just a plain pine wood color) with the coordinating washi tape, and then cut a piece of dark grey wrapping paper to the same size as the glass.
I arranged twelve of the cards so that each row had a card for a picture, a “quote”, and a writing spot, and then just used a low tack tape to stick it to the background (the low tack tape makes it easy to remove and replace with another card). Then I put the frame back together.
On top of the frame, I glued on four mini clothespins, and used the coordinating remark stickers to spell my daughters name on the glass. And that’s it, you’re done. You have a super cute and adorable memo board. What teen or tween wouldn’t love this in their room? It’s perfect!

This is such a cute idea!! I have some Project Life goodies but I’m a loser and haven’t gotten started on it yet. I can’t wait to start though, and now I must add this project to my to-do list! Love it! 🙂
