My daughter is mad about Lalaloopsy right now. She watches the show and the movie, has several dolls, was a Lalaloopsy for Halloween… it’s Lala-looney here! She saw a Lalaloopsy necklace and wanted to buy one, but have you checked out the prices of licensed stuff? Not happening. So I did what any sane and crafty Mom would do, I made my own.
At first, I was going to buy chunky beads and make a total necklace from scratch, but after checking out the price of beads and the cost of shipping, it just wasn’t worth it for only one necklace since beads come in big packages. I would also have to buy the elastic, the closure, and wait for the supplies to arrive. I was too impatient, and instead, grabbed a stretchy, pearlish type necklace from Winners (like Marshalls for you Americans), which cost $2 for one necklace and six bracelets.
Now I know that I have done projects in the past and said “This is sooo easy” or “This is the easiest project ever”. Well, when it comes to this one, it’s the total truth. This is so quick and easy that I don’t think you can technically classify it as a craft. This was quicker than brushing my teeth – and that isn’t even the tiniest bit of an exaggeration.
Want to make your own Lalaloopsy necklace and bracelet set?
(Note: You can use any Mini Toy – My Little Pony, Hello Kitty, Barbie, Littlest Pet Shop, etc – this should work.)
Here’s what you’ll need:
- A mini lalaloopsy set (I used the Mini Little and the pet)
- A necklace and bracelet
- An eyelet pin
To start, screw the pins into the head of the mini toy.
Next, stretch out the necklace and hook the eyelet pin onto the necklace cord.
Repeat for the bracelet – I put their pet on the bracelet. I kept the Mini Big Sister Lalaloopsy for her to play with.
Voila! You’re done. A practically instant project that you’re little princess is sure to love! Mine just about died with excitement – you should have heard the squeal!
Now go make some to stuff your daughters stocking or pass along to a little girl in your life as a super cute Christmas gift!
I'd love to hear from you! Leave a comment!
