This spring wreath is wrapped in baker’s twine and jazzed up with cute spring and easter decor. Learn how to make one for your door with this tutorial!
Do you know what I found kinda ironic about this post for my Spring Wreath?
That I had to trudge through the snow to take pictures of it. Yes, the sun is staying out longer, and the numbers on the thermometer are starting to increase (although we have yet to make it out of the negatives), which are all signs pointing to Spring, so I guess I will just have to take their word for it, right?
Spring is on its way. I will keep telling myself that as I warm up my car in the frigid -24 cold. Spring is almost here. Have faith. Soon the mountains of snow will be gone and you can finally have that outdoor Easter Egg Hunt – just keep believing.
Hence, my wreath. I am believing that Spring will soon be here, so I better get ready! Plus, the bright and cheerful colors will make me feel better when all I can see for miles around is white.
This wreath, while not the quickest wreath ever, is very simple. It takes a bit of time – about 45 minutes – to wrap the wreath form in the twine, but if you put on a good show (I recommend a rerun of How I Met Your Mother, like where Ted proposes to Stella), you’ll be done before you know it.
Baker’s Twine Easter Wreath Supplies:
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own version of this spring wreath:
- a round styrofoam wreath form
- baker’s twine
- Easter decor, picks, flowers, etc. (I used two springs of speckled eggs and a moss covered bunny, both from Michaels)
- pins to attach the decor (I used u shaped floral pins, like I used on this wreath)
- bunting (optional – I used a premade bunting garland from Dear Lizzy’s 5th & Frolic line. I couldn’t find the one I used, but this is the style/line.)
- alphabet stickers (optional – I put happy spring on the bunting, but it is so tiny you can barely see it in photos)
I didn’t take step by step photos (does anyone else want to sing “ooooh baby” whenever they read step by step?) because they weren’t really many steps. You wrap the wreath form in twine, and you pin on your decor items. It’s really pretty simple.
To pin the bunny on, I poked one side of the pin into the bottom of the bunny, and the other side into the wreath form.
If you look closely on the photo above, you can kind of see the letters on the banner. It’s easy to see in person, but when you take photos of things so tiny, it’s hard to capture them all – especially with the crazy wind. (Spring is coming… spring is coming.)
