Have you ever wondered how to apply iron on vinyl to flip flops? Or didn’t even realize it was a possibility? This post will show you how easy it is!
Oh, and make sure you read all the way to the end. There just might be a chance for you to win an EasyPress of your own!
For this project, I used files the same Palm Spring inspired SVG files that I used in this post (which shares how to change SVGs to drawings using Cricut pens). In addition, you will also need (affiliate links):
- iron on vinyl (I used Cricut lite in black and white)
- flip flops
- a mini craft iron (here’s one like I have)
How to Apply Iron on Vinyl to Flip Flops
To start, download your SVG and upload it in Design Space. If you have already uploaded it, it may show up in the strip at the bottom, or you can go through the image library (use the filter to find only images you have uploaded).
Once the design is in Design Space, I deleted all of the unnecessary layers, and arranged the remaining layers how I wanted them to look on my flip flops. I removed the small cuts from the inside of the flamingo text, and made sure each section of text was welded together. Then I hit the Make button.
Also, I love that Design Space prompts you now if you select iron on but don’t mirror your image.
Once cut, arrange the designs on your flip flops.
How to Apply Iron on Vinyl to Flip Flops with a Mini Iron
I tried using my Easy Press, but it was too big to get between the top of the flip flop. So I grabbed this little craft iron that I somehow acquired but have never used, and it was the perfect tool for the job! It’s amazing for little iron on jobs. (If you want one like this, you can find them on amazon for less than $25.)
Isn’t that a cute and quick way to brighten up your summer footwear? You can grab these files, and so many more over at my SVG shop.
And if you are looking for more iron on vinyl inspiration, keep checking back throughout the week to see all of the fun projects that my friends and fellow bloggers will be sharing:
And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for… your chance to win an Easy Press (which I adore and may even use to iron my clothes). Check out the rafflecopter below to enter!

I already have an EasyPress, but wanted to say they are awesome! Everyone that makes shirts with the Cricut, should have one.

Great article! Did you use the mini heat press tip that came with the press or did you order a bigger one?

I used the tip on my mini iron – if you look under the supply list, you can click it and view the one that I have.
