These free Galentine’s Day SVG files are a perfect way to celebrate all of the special ladies in your life – extra points if you do it over breakfast food, Leslie Knope style.
Where are my Parks and Recreation fans?
With the exception of Pitch Perfect, there is little more I love in life than some Leslie Knope, Ron Swanson, and Ann Perkins. In all honesty, I think Leslie is actually my spirit animal – that is, if spirit animals can be actual humans. And the episode about Galentine’s Day is one of my favorites.
What exactly is Galentine’s Day, you ask?
In the words of fearless leader, Leslie Knope, herself, Galentine’s Day is…
As you can see, if you haven’t been celebrating Galentine’s Day before, you definitely need to start.
In this episode, Leslie gives her “code” – kind of like the female version of the bro code. It goes “Hoes before bros. Ovaries before brovaries. Uteruses before duderuses.” They’ve become classics amoungst Parks and Recreation fans, and I created a couple of free Galentine’s Day SVG files to share with you!
**Download the Galentine’s Day SVG files using the form at the bottom of this post. Cut files are for personal use only and may not be shared or redistributed. For commercial uses, please purchase this item from my Etsy shop.**
Free SVG Download for Galentine’s Day
Once downloaded, you can import the SVG file straight into Design Space, or use in whatever software accompanies your cutting machine. (If you aren’t sure how to upload an SVG in Design Space, you can view my quick You Tube tutorial.)
When you import into Design Space, the first thing you need to do is attach all of the layers. This will keep it cut as a whole image. It may look like the word BEFORE is missing, but for some reason, Design Space is importing it as black (like the image on the left above). If you highlight all layers and change the color (above, right), you will see the cuts are there, so no need to worry.
I cut one of the designs for a mug which I filled with yummy treats and a coffee gift card, and placed the other on a leather bound notebook. (I cut them both out of Cricut’s glitter vinyl, which I adore!) They are the perfect was to add a special touch to just about any gift, or even make a sweet card for the special ladies in your life.
Now it’s your turn. Are you planning to celebrate this February 13? And if you plan to use these Galentine’s Day SVG files, how so? I love to hear from you and see what you’re up to, so be sure to tag me on instagram!
