Looking for the best knife blade projects to create with your Cricut Maker? We’re sharing the top ideas and inspiring crafts, all knife blade made!
The knife blade has been out for almost six months now, and the brilliant projects are starting to roll in. (I was super lucky to also teach the knife blade class at Cricut’s Mountain Make a Thon this year too!) Today, I am going to share over 10 of my favorites – the best knife blade projects out there! Make sure to have your own knife blade ready, because you will definitely want to create some of these projects once you see them. Ready to be inspired?
The Best Cricut Knife Blade Projects
CRICUT BLADE STORAGE: Seriously guys, I can’t even. This is one of my favourite knife blade projects of all time. It’s from my friend Stephanie, over at Crafting in the Rain. She used pink glitter iron on and chipboard to create this blade holder. So pretty!
Material Cut: Cricut chipboard (+ iron on with fine tip blade)
INTERCHANGEABLE TRUCK SIGN: What’s better than one sign made with the Cricut Knife Blade? Two signs! Everyday Jenny created this sign using her knife blade, and you can take out the pumpkin and exchange it for a Christmas tree. Perfect, right?
Material Cut: 1/16″ basswood
SEWING MACHINE ORNAMENT: I shared this one with my class at the Make a Thon because I thought it was just so darn cute. This ornament from See Kate Sew would be perfect for the seamstress or quilter in your life, don’t you think?
Material Cut: Cricut chipboard

FAMILY ACTIVITY ADVENT CALENDAR: These chipboard ornaments are part of an advent calendar that focuses more on family time and less on gifts. On the front of each ornament is the day and on the back, embossed into foil poster board, is an icon that represents a family Christmas activity for that day. This is one of my favorites!
Material Cut: Cricut chipboard (+vinyl, iron on, foil poster board and felt with the rotary blade and fine tip blade)
PHOTO FRAME OVERLAY: The bright colors of this picture frame work so well with this detailed cut. I mean, look at that cut! That is some intricate cutting, my friends. This project was created by the uber talented Damask Love, which explains the bright colors too!
Material Cut: Cricut chipboard
SODA SHOP SIGN: Now this is thinking outside the mat! This huge sign was created by Whipperberry, using the Cricut Maker and the knife blade. I’m in awe. The total dimensions are around 2′ x 3′!
Material Cut: birchwood

CROSSBADY FRUIT PURSES: I love the innovation present in this project. Melissa at Polkadot Chair actually cut these from marine vinyl (the stuff used to cover boat seats!) using her knife blade. Super cool, right?
Material Cut: marine vinyl (+ iron on with fine tip blade)
LEATHER JOURNAL COVER: This next knife blade project would make a perfect gift for the stationary lover in your life. Angie at The Country Chic Cottage used iron on vinyl on this beautiful silver notebook cover that she cut with her knife blade.
Material Cut: leather (+ iron on with fine tip blade)
LUMINARY COVER: Natalie at Doodlecraft shared this beautiful luminary (or lampshade cover) over on her blog and I just loved the way it looked when used over this light changing bulb. The intricate pieces are cut from foil poster board, but the frame is cut using the knife blade.
Material Cut: Cricut chipboard (+ foil poster board with fine tip blade)
DRAWER STORAGE BOX: As I was researching for my knife blade class, this was one of the projects that completely blew my mind. This little set of drawers, created by Awesome SVGs, was actually cut using the Cricut knife blade! It’s straight up chipboard and decorative paint. Incredible!
Material cut: Cricut chipboard
ICE CREAM CONE STAND: Last on the list of best knife blade projects is the cutest cupcake stand ever. Designed by Jessica Roe of Everyday Party Magazine, and shared on Giggles Galore, these ice cream stands use the knife blade and the Cricut pens to create a whimsical end result.
