Cricut Gift Boxes – Style 2
For this gift box, I used the dark purple and gold colors of foil poster board, and printable sticker paper.
*If you aren’t sure how to use the slice feature, you will need to follow steps 1B-1D of gift box 1.
2a. Insert the image #M2FFF8 (Christmas lights) onto your gift box. Size to 6 inches. Copy and paste another set of lights, and then use the flip tool (horizontal) to mirror it. Line the two sets of lights up at the ends, and hit weld.
2b. Place the light string on the box as desired, and then create a square/rectangle shape that lines up with the edges of your box as shown. Use the slicing technique in Gift Box 1 to trim the edges. Change the line to a score, and attach the score line and the gift box layers.
2c. Add a circle (shapes, left hand panel) of 2.1″ to the middle of the box. Add another circle of 1.9″. Type monogram in the Cricut image search and choose one that you like. Place it in the middle of the second circle. Change the cut line to a pen line.
2d. Add a name to the center of the monogram. To pick a font that works great for writing, choose filter from the fonts menu, and select writing. For this one, I used the Cricut font “Cinnamon Swirls”.
2e. Select the small circle, the monogram, and the name, and attach these three layers.
I chose to make the small, monogram circle on sticker paper, but you could easily use plain white cardstock as well.
