Did you see all of the Cricut sewing tools and products that have been released recently? They make sewing a breeze, and this post will introduce you to all of them!
Cricut Maker and the Cricut Sewing Tools
Cricut has been really hard at work since last year’s Maker release to diversify their product line, which is possible because of the powerhouse Adaptive Tool Technology (which is exclusive to the Maker). They recently released the scoring wheel and a fabulous line of cardstocks and posterboards to reach the scrapbookers and paper crafters. The heavy duty materials like chipboard and leather work seamlessly with the knife blade, and finally, the amazing sewing products will be fabulous for the seamstress and quilter in the room to use with the rotary blade. Let’s talk about some of these sewing tools and products, shall we?
10 Cricut sewing tools that help whip up fabric crafts with ease
This was one of the big selling features last year when Cricut released the Maker. It allows you to cut through almost any fabric – as thin as chiffon and as thick as burlap! It really was a game changer.
Cricut has recently released two sizes of rotary cutters – a 45mm and a 60mm. I have a 45mm one and love it so much that I recently ordered the 60mm. They are available in 3×18″ and 6×26″ sizes.
What makes these acrylic rulers special? You can get them to match your machine and other tools! Everything I own is mint green, so naturally, that’s the color I chose.
Like the acrylic rulers, you can buy the self healing mats to match your machine, or in a standard grey. The grey has a grid on both sides, while the colored ones have patterned designs on one side and grids on the other.
Note: Cricut also sells a rotary cutting kit, which includes a self healing mat, 12×26 acrylic ruler, and a 45mm rotary cutter. You can find it on their website.
One of my favorite sounds in the world is the sound of sharp scissors slicing fabric. I don’t know what it is, but it gives me the tingles (maybe its an ASMR thing, like all of those ridiculous soap cutting videos that I am definitely not addicted to watching). Either way, these scissors are sharp and comfortable to hold if you are cutting a lot. Definitely a favorite!
The Applicator and Remover Set
This is two tools, but sold together in a combo pack. The brayer helps fabric stick to the fabric mat (the pink one) and the lifter helps pull the fabric up without damaging the adhesive on the mat.

This little kit comes with all of the things you need to start sewing – a measuring tape, stick pins, pin cushion, fabric scissors, seam ripper, thread snips, and leather thimble. If you’re new to sewing, this is an easy way to grab everything you need in one shot, and for a great price.
These fabric already comes with an adhesive backing. What does that mean? It means you can cut it with your Maker, and then iron (or even better, use the EasyPress) it to your project. Think appliques in a snap! They are designed to co-ordinate with the designer fabric packs and the premade quilt panels.
Sampler Packs of designer fabric are prepackaged to make choosing fabric for your next project a breeze. They come with five various fabrics, and most sets also have coordinating fusible fabrics available to match.
I recently ordered this Riley Blake Quilt Kit in Hello Dolly to make a quilt for my new niece. I love that the fabric is precut yardage. There are two sizes of quilt kits: baby and throw. You can mix and match it with any of the quilt patterns in that size – four are displayed on the package, but all of the baby quilt designs in Design Space (by Riley Blake) require the same fabric yardage. I’m still deciding which pattern to use – Around the Block or To a T.
