These cut files for planners will customize your agenda in no time. The Fresh Cut New Year SVG Bundle has pockets, dividers, stickers, and so much more! This post shares how I incorporated the pockets and some of the handlettered quotes into my planner.
Using the cut files for planners in the SVG bundle
If you haven’t scored your copy of the latest Fresh Cut SVG Bundle, you can grab it here. Download and unzip the files, and locate the pockets file.
Head to Cricut Design Space (or whatever software you use for your cutting machine), and upload the SVG file. Once it is open, you will see three pocket templates. These are sized for the three versions of the Happy Planner, but are easy to customize to your planner size.
First, measure your planner cover (or whatever page the pocket will go on). My planner was 6×8, but I wanted a 1/2″ border around the pocket. The medium template was the closest to this, so I ungrouped the file, and deleted all of the layers for the other templates.
There is a line without color, which is indicated by a red dash. Change that line to a score line. Select the two layers for your pocket, and attach them.
Next, in the shape menu, add a square and size it to the dimension you want your final pocket to be. For me, this was 5×7. I placed this square over my pocket template and then sized the top portion of the template to fit. The bottom portion will fold up over.

Assembling the cut files for planners in the SVG bundle
I added some of the handlettered quote from the bundle as well, and sized them to fit the pockets. I cut them from the Cricut pearl paper (grey) and the Cricut foil poster board (gold), and used vinyl (white, teal, bright pink, and holographic) for the quotes.
Once cut, use a tape runner or glue stick to place adhesive on the sides of the bottom portion. Fold up and stick together to form the pocket, and then add your quotes or decorations.
I used tape runner to stick the pocket to the inside cover of my planner.
Pretty cool, right? I love all of the files in this months Fresh Cut bundle – I even made a menu dashboard, which I will share a project for later this month.
