If you haven’t had a chance to grab a card for Dad yet, or you would like to create one a little more personalized – no worries! I have some great ideas for last minute Fathers Day cards for you that you can create with your Cricut Explore and… a pen!
One of my favorite features of the Cricut Explore is the ability to use pens in your designs. This creates a hand written or drawn effect. So, of course, when I saw this new set of pens on the Cricut store, I was so excited and ordered it right away. The colors are so vibrant, and the fine tip is perfect for use with the Explore. I even use the pens without my Cricut because the colors are so pretty. (And where can you get 30 fine tip marker pens for $35?)
A lot of these cards show the text written in black marker, but you can change it up to use any of the colors in the pen set. Use Dad’s favorite color, or coordinate with the cardstock you have on hand. That’s the beauty of the Cricut Explore. Also, all of these cards are Make It Now projects, which means the “hard” work is already done for you. You can customize the projects or make them as they are. Either way, Dad gets a heartfelt thank you on his special day.
Last Minute Father’s Day Cards
My favorite is this one – a Fill in the Blanks card for Dad. The project consists of an outer sleeve, with an insert that pulls out. Have your child (or children) fill in the blanks and it’s sure to make his Father’s Day.
If the Dad in your life is a bearded guy, this one made me chuckle…
Or this speech bubble card would be perfect coming from a teen!
And if your guy is more into mustaches than beards, he should be able to find a matching one on this mustache card, which by the way, would look super cool if each mustache was drawn in a different color!
And of course, if you want a completely coordinated look for your card and gift, check out this card and tag set – perfect for the dad-neccessities.
Let’s chat: which one was your favorite? As I mentioned, I am in love with the fill in the blanks one, but I think they’re all really fun. As a bonus, they all take less than 30 minutes to create, thanks to your Cricut and its pen functionality.
