Great movie – mainly I think, because Charlize Theron was AMAZING! She did such a good job portraying the evil queen. It was pretty action packed and the dwarves really made me laugh. Definitely worth a watch. What did you think if you saw it?
Party Supply Organizer
After throwing several big parties in the past few months (including the Lovebirds Party, Monster Bash, and Summer Splash), I am accumulating a bunch of party supplies that are somewhat invading my craft room. They don’t have a definitive home because (a) they are so small and (b) they aren’t used very often, relative to my other craft supplies. I didn’t want to throw them all into a big box labelled party supplies either though, because things like streamers get unravelled and things like paper straws get crushed… So what’s a girl to do? That’s when it hit me.
I had a shoe organizer hanging on the back of my guestroom door (My craft room is technically the closet of the guest room) which had pockets the perfect size for my party supplies. I made some labels super quickly (I could have been fancy and made them with my silhouette or printed them on cute paper, but honestly, I just wanted to get my stuff put away!) I made the labels with plain shipping/mailing labels, that I outlined with a blue marker and I stuck a pretty bird sticker on each one that I had lying around from my classroom last year.
I love that there is room for all of my party essentials – tissue paper (for pom poms and other decor), streamers, crepe paper rolls, straws (krazy and paper), small pinwheels, balloons and balloon straws, drink umbrellas, banners, stickers (loose sheets in one pocket, books in the other), fishing line and twine, table cloth clips, favour bags, and frames (for menu signs and labelling stations).
How awesome, eh?! I love that I was debating buying some new storage boxes for it all and it ended up costing me nothing. Even if you didn’t have this stuff on hand, I paid $4 for the shoe organizer a few months ago, and the labels are from the dollar store. I would gladly pay $5 to be this organized. I think next I will make one for my daughter to keep all of her arts and crafts supplies so her little sister can’t get at it.
On a completely different note, I saw Snow White and the Huntsman last night with a couple friends – have you seen it yet?

Good idea! I often end up throwing away the little party leftovers for lack of a place to put them.

That is a great idea! Some of those supplies are just so difficult to store in my craft room, but this idea could definitely work!

What a smart idea! I often throw out leftover party supplies because I can’t bear the thought of storing them … this is a great idea!
