Yesterday, I shared the DIY S’mores Kits that I created for my extended family with children. Here’s a quick and easy gift that I created for the families without children. {This would also be a great idea to make ahead of time and keep on hand in case someone unexpectedly drops by with a box of chocolates for you – you can look prepared to return the favor!}
I created 15 bags of potpourri, and I think it cost just over $10 for all 15 bags. To recreate, you will need the following supplies per bag of potpourri:
-1 orange
-1 whole nutmeg
-2 3″ sticks of cinnamon
-2 tsp of whole cloves
-1 cellophane bag
-piece of ribbon
-gift tag (printable below)

Thanks for the idea! That will be a perfect gift for all my neighbors and I have been looking for a recipe for my own home.
I found your site via Craftberry Bush.
Merry Christmas!

You listed ingredients but while your photo shows cranberries your ingredient list did not. Were they included in the bags?
Sarah says
I’m so sorry! I’m going to fix that now. Yes, I put about 10-15 cranberries in each bag, I believe.

Forgive me for being absolutely ignorant. Do you give the dry ingredients as a gift? And when do you put them on the stove – when expecting guests?
Sarah says
Yes – you package the dry ingredients and give it as a gift. They then boil it with water in a pot on a stove top whenever they want their house to smell festive! 🙂

You have made some decent points there. I checked on
the web for additional information about the issue and found most people will go along with
your views on this website.

Hi – can you tell me if they have cranberries in the picture. Cranberries aren’t listed in the recipe. I just can’t tell for sure. Thanks for your help.
Sarah says
Sorry for the mistake! This post is from last year and I can’t believe no one picked up on that til now! I think I put about 10-15 cranberries in each bag. I only used one bag and split it between about a dozen gifts.
